Comment basculer entre les différents Java (JVM) sous Ubuntu et Debian


Parfois on se trouve obligé à avoir plusieurs JVM sur la même machine pour divers raisons. Le problème se pose lorsque vous voulez utiliser un JVM à la place d'un autre pour un besoin particulier et puis retourner à la JVM de base (par défaut)!
Bah sous Ubuntu (ou encore Debian et ses fils) ce pb n'existe pas, il suffit d'exécuter la commande suivante:
sudo update-alternatives --config java
puis faire votre choix :)
Dans le screenshot suivant il y a un exemple: chez moi (j'utilise Sabily) j'ai OpenJDK comme JVM par défaut et je voulais utiliser Sun JVM pour un besoin particulier, pour avoir le JVM en cours il suffit de lancer la commande:
java -version
